Q: Where do your herbs come from?
Every herb is either grown right here on the farm or foraged from clean, unsprayed wild land. Nothing is imported, mass-produced, or handled by people who don’t know the plant. If the soil didn’t raise it, we don’t use it.
Q: Do you use essential oils?
No. Essential oils are highly concentrated and often extracted using chemical-heavy methods. We believe in the full plant — slow-infused in oil, vinegar, or water — because that’s what the body recognizes and works with best.
Q: Are your products organic?
Not certified, but cleaner than most certified options. No sprays. No synthetics. No compromise. We know every input and every plant by name.
Q: What’s in your products?
Our ingredient lists are short and to the point: usually just herbs, oil (or vinegar), and sometimes plant-based Vitamin E (D-alpha tocopherol) for shelf stability. That’s it. No perfumes, preservatives, or filler.
Q: Why do your batches vary?
Because nature isn’t a factory. The scent, color, and texture might shift depending on weather, soil, and season. But the quality and intention stay the same — and we never bottle anything subpar.
Q: What’s the shelf life of your products?
Oil-based products: 12–18 months if kept cool and out of direct sun. Vinegars: At least 18–24 months — longer if stored well. Dried herbs & teas: Best within 12 months, but can last longer with proper storage.
Q: How should I store your products?
Keep them cool, dark, and dry. Sunlight breaks down herbs and oils. Moisture invites mold. A pantry shelf or medicine cabinet is ideal. No fridge needed unless noted.
Q: How do I use your oils, salves, or vinegars?
Every product is made to be practical: Oils are best applied directly to skin or used in gentle massage. Salves are concentrated and meant for spot treatments or barrier protection. Vinegars can be diluted in water, added to food, or used topically depending on the blend. Instructions come with each product — and if you’re unsure, just ask.
Q: Can I request a custom blend or bulk order?
Yes. We offer special orders for weddings, gifting, and personal needs. Reach out via the contact page and we’ll work with what the land allows.
Q: Do you ship?
Yes — anywhere in the U.S. Shipping is calculated at checkout. Local pickup and market meetups are available if you’re nearby.
Q: Do you use any chemicals or preservatives?
No chemicals, no synthetic preservatives. Just clean plants, good oil, and natural stabilizers like raw vinegar or D-alpha tocopherol. That’s it. If a shelf-life extender isn’t needed, we don’t use one.
Q: What oils do you use?
We primarily use extra virgin olive oil and, when appropriate, rendered lard from our own pastured animals. Occasionally we’ll use cold-pressed sunflower or almond oil — always food-grade, always carefully chosen based on the herb and skin type.
Q: How are your herbs dried?
We use a mix of airflow methods — ceiling fans, dehydrators, and paper-drying on tables. No forced heat, no sunlight. Herbs are dried until they’re crisp, then sealed in paper or glass and stored cool and dark until use.
Q: Are your products safe for children or pets?
Some are, some aren’t. We label clearly and always recommend researching each herb before use — especially if someone is pregnant, nursing, on medications, or very young or old. Know your herbs.
Q: Can I eat your products?
Unless labeled for internal use (like some vinegars), no. Most are topical only. If it’s edible, we’ll say so. And even then — check for sensitivities and interactions.
